Obituary
Torryan Jamir Bryant was born January 29, 1987, in Hollywood, FL. He grew up in Miami Gardens, FL where he resided with his mother, Terry Bryant. He attended Greater New Bethel Baptist Church, where his mother was a long-time member. He was christened as an infant and baptized as a young child there under the pastorate of Dr. G. David Horton. He was an active member of the Youth Choir, Sunday School and the Youth Development Program.
Torryan, or Torry as he was affectionately called, was educated in Miami-Dade County Public Schools. His educational journey began at Miami-Dade College's Satellite School from Pre-K to 2nd Grades. He auditioned and was accepted into two Magnet Schools but chose the Music Magnet School. He attended Rainbow Park Elementary School where he was, also, placed into the Gifted Program from grades 3rd-5th. While in Elementary School, he started his musical journey. After graduating from Rainbow Park, he attended Miami Norland Middle School where he was accepted into the Music Magnet School and placed into the Gifted Program again, from 6th-9th Grades. After graduating from Middle School, he was accepted into the Music Magnet School at Dr. Michael Krop Senior High School, in Aventura, and placed into the Gifted Program and was a member of their football team. In Middle and High School his musical abilities soared. His specialty was Tenor Saxophone, but his skills included several other instruments. He received many honors, medals and certificates, in school and in competitions across the county, for his musical talents. His teachers described him as a "gifted musician".
After graduating High School, Torryan enrolled in FAU (Florida Atlantic University), majoring in music, where he was on their football team, and later transferred to FAMU. Torryan spent most of his free time writing songs, making beats, playing music or playing basketball. In his latter years he decided to copyright 25 of his original songs.
Early Monday morning, May 5,2025, Torryan's earthly journey ended, and he transitioned to his heavenly home and Father. He leaves to cherish his memories his heartbroken mother, Terry Bryant, his loving uncle, Dion Bailey, his loving Tanti Sam, his other mothers, Ann Allen and Lillian Medina, and a host of Aunts, Cousins, god sisters and friends.
Torryan was always a happy, friendly and funny child and as an adult he remained the same. His sense of humor, lively spirit, compassionate heart and smiling face will always be missed and remembered. We thank God for the joys, memories and love you brought to our family and into our lives.
