Uradee attended schools in Miami Dade County, which included Poinciana Elementary, Hialeah Junior High, North Miami Beach Senior High, and Miami Jackson Senior High. Uradee was an overcomer. Born with Polio and losing her mom at eight years old, she learned how to lean and depend on the Lord at an early age.
Uradee Heath was born on December 6, 1961, to the late Williamson and Ruby Heath in Miami, Florida. She was the last of six children born to this union.
She accepted Jesus Christ as her Lord and personal Savior at an early age while attending New Providence Missionary Baptist Church. Uradee was a praying woman that loved the Lord wholeheartedly and lived to please Him.
Uradee was a working woman that worked nearly all of her life, starting out at age 16 working with her brother, William, at his grocery store, Meat City USA. She would go on to become a private duty nurse for a few years, and in 1997, the beginning of her career in food service for the Miami Dade County public school system is where she would find her home.
Dedicating her time and service to MDCPS for nearly 27 years, she would work at several schools, including Charles R. Drew Middle, Miami Northwestern Senior High, Liberty City Elementary, and lastly, Martin Luther King Elementary School.
Uradee was a fashionista that loved to look nice and shop, but she loved people even more. Always smiling, Uradee had a sharp tongue but a warm heart; she would give her last to complete strangers.
She made an impact on nearly everyone she came in contact with. May the works she’s done speak for her.
Although she will be dearly missed, God decided that her work down here was done. May we rejoice now that she is with her Heavenly Father in Heaven and her loved ones who proceeded her in death, including her mother and father; sister, Viola; and brothers, William and Charles Heath.
She leaves to cherish her precious memories: daughters, Mercedes Serrano and Melissa Jean (Edwin); granddaughters, Merkiyah, Merkayla, and Meriah; sisters, Iola Heath-McCray (Gerald) and Ruthie-Mae Harris; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and outstanding friends.
