Obituary
Wayne Colston, Sr., was born on August 14, 1951, in Miami, Florida, to the late Jessie and Olsie Colston, Sr. He was the second oldest of five children.
Wayne Sr., attended Miami Northwestern Senior High School where he was a proud Bull. Wayne Sr. participated in sports for Miami Northwestern playing football, basketball and track and field. He obtained his high school diploma graduating with the class of 1972. Wayne Sr., then decided to join the United States Army where he earned his rank as a E-4 Soldier where he was stationed in Fort Benning, Georgia. He served as active duty from 1974 to 1977. In due time, he was honorable discharged from active duty and was now titled a U.S. Army Veteran. Wayne Sr. then came back home to Miami, Florida, where he then married his first love Deborah Colston having three kids, Trinity Colston, Tamira Colston, and Wayne Colston, Jr.
Wayne then pursued his career as a school bus driver, city of Miami Public Works tree crew and Miami Dade County Parks and Recreation Supervisor of Beach Maintenance at Haulover Beach from 1989 to where he retired in 2018. Wayne Sr. was loved by so many coworkers and friends in his journey of life.
Wayne Sr. then met Lori Selena Boykin who he sincerely truly loved for quite some time. As the years went on, he then became remarried to make her his current wife, Lori Selena Boykin-Colston, in August 2019 to Current. Residing with Lori and her son, Simeon Hardemon.
Wayne Sr. enjoyed outdoor fishing, watching Star Trek, Nascar Racing, Sports, Old Western Cowboy Shows and How it Was. Also receiving many awards for his skills and talent in 8Ball pool. Wayne Sr. was known to be strong minded, caring, and giving in times of need.
His Legacy
Wayne Sr., entered in rest on March 2, 2025, and was preceded by his wife, Lori Selena Boykin-Colston, and children, Trinity Colston, Tamira Colston, Wayne Colston, Jr., and Simeon Hardemon.
He leaves to cherish his memory: wife, Lori Selena Boykin-Colston; children, Trinity Colston, Tamira Colston, Wayne Colston, Jr., Simeon Hardemon; grandchildren, Jevoni Colston, Carolyn Williams-Colston, Nadaja Colston, Wayne Colston III, Samyah Hardemon, Samora Hardemon; great-grandkids, Delilah Williams and Legacy Colston; siblings, Margo Young-Colston, Olsie Colston, Jr., Earl Colston, Sr. (Deceased), Derek Colston, Sr.(Deceased); and a host of cousins, nieces, and nephews who he loved and is loved by ori Hadley Davis, L.F.D.
