Obituary

William Andrews was born October 7, 1952, to the late Dan and Lorine Andrews in Miami, Florida. He was the eleventh child out of thirteen children. As a child, the family moved to Hollywood, Florida.
He received his education in Broward County schools and received his certificate in automotive from Job Crops in Kentucky. He worked many years doing fumigation for Truly Nolen and Orkin. He retired in 2012 after thirty-five years. In 1974, William and Lucy became one and to this union, God blessed them with eight children. William was a vibrant individual, full of happiness and life. He was very affectionate and kindhearted. He loved helping others and was never afraid to speak his mind. He was loved and respected by everyone.
On April 25, 2023, God sent his angels to William’s bedside and they whispered to him John 3:16: “For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten son, that whosoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life.” “You have fought a good fight, you have finished your course your work is done.” William accepted the will of God and told the angels, “low down the chariot and let me ride.”
Left to cherish his life, legacy, and memories are: his beloved wife, Lucy Andrews; two sons, Shawn (Yolanda) and Anthony (Shanika); five daughters, Shanika (Dewey), Katrina, Tiffany (Tavares), Latoy (David), and Anara; twenty-four grandchildren; nine greatgrandchildren; godson, Ronald; goddaughter, Sharon; siblings, Naomi, Catherine, Annie, Edna, Sharlet (Sam), Delores (Charles), Thomas, and Nickey; two brothers-in-law, Charles and Frank Pearson; two sisters-in-law, Maize Ferguson and Gladys Clarit; best friends, Roy James and Temperce Rolle; and a host of nieces, nephews, great-grandnieces, great-grandnephews, and friends.
William was preceded in death by his parents, Dan and Lorine Andrews; son, William, Jr.; sister, Melzina; brothers, Charles, Richard, and Dan; and son-in-law, Torrie.
