Obituary
Willie Mae Pittman was born on October 28, 1943, in Enfield, North Carolina. She was born to Leandison Alston and Lillie Bell Pittman. Her parents both preceded her in death.
She attended public schools in New York City, graduating from Central Commerical High School. A few years later, she relocated to Miami, Florida, where she attended and graduated from Miami Dade College, obtaining an AA focused in Computer Engineering Technology/Technician. She continued her education at Florida International University, obtaining a BA focused in Interdisciplinary Studies.
Willie Mae Pittman was a philanthropist. Willie dedicated countless hours into giving back to her community. She volunteered at schools from elementary to high school. She was recognized by Alonzo and Tray Mourning Senior High School for volunteering as an athletic support staff from 2017-2018. While in Miami, Willie found a love for bowling; she dedicated over a decade volunteering as a bowling coach for kids from Miami to Broward.
Willie leaves to cherish precious and unforgettable memories that will linger in the hearts of those who knew and loved her: Cheyanne George, Omar Hafeez, Lemuel Sheffield, Brianna Dixon, Marcus George, Renee George, and other relatives and friends.
