Obituary
Willie Mays was born to the proud parents, Melvin and Sarah Mays, in Montgomery, Alabama, on July 15, 1961. His mother, Sarah Mays, preceded him in death in 2021.
Willie attended public school in Alabama and later joined Job Corp where he obtained skills in automotive repair and carpentry. He relocated to Miami, Florida, seeking a better life. There he met his lifetime companion, Traebya L. Anderson.
He is survived by his sons, Willie Jr., Christopher, Acie, and Travis. Additionally, his memories will be forever fondly held by his father, Melvin Mays; sisters, Mary, Fannie, and Lizzie; brothers, Frank James, Robert James, Coco Mays, Kevin Mays, and James Mays; and a host of many other family members and friends.
