Obituary
Deaconess Rosa Lee Pritchett Arnold, the daughter of Johnny Earl Pritchett, Sr. and Rosa Lee Jennings, came into the world on November 17, 1952, in Madison, Florida. Her life was the reflection of the nurturing she received from her village – family, teachers, community, and church family. “Sister” as she affectionately known throughout the community, was a lifelong resident of Greenville, Florida.
Preceding Deaconess Rosa Lee in death were both parents; her brothers: Arlie Humphrey, Ozell Pritchett, Harry Humphrey, Jerry Humphrey, and Allen Wayne Humphrey; granddaughter: Te’Erica Alexander; and best friend: Joyce Lane Bruton.
When Jesus spoke to her heart, she confessed her belief in Him. In time she realized what was most important in life - having a relationship with Him, a family that loves you, friends who are true, and rendering service with a joyful heart. At Shiloh Missionary Baptist Church, she was an active member of the usher ministry and was chosen to become a member of the Deaconess Board.
Deaconess Rosa Lee received her education in the Madison County Public School District and was a graduate of Greenville High School. Many years later, she desired to further her education, and in 1989, she returned to school to earn certification as a Certified Health Aide, which inspired her later the same year to continue studying to become a Certified Nurse Assistant. In 1990, she earned certification as a Home Health Aide, and in 1991, she became a Certified Professional in Food Management. Her final certifications were obtained in 1992, with Early Childhood services and Therapy for Disabled Persons. Her employment career was at Dorchester Sunrise of Tallahassee as well as other nursing homes in Tallahassee and Greenville. Deaconess Rosa Lee demonstrated that it is never too late for one to learn and that education opens doors for opportunities for success. She was a role model for her daughters and granddaughters who, likewise, shared her interest in becoming nurses of various positions in their careers.
Many of Deaconess Rosa Lee’s hobbies that she enjoyed doing in her leisure included sewing, fishing, cooking, shopping and dressing. For each of these, she gave her best effort and the outcome always resulted in her receiving sincere compliments.
Deaconess Rosa Lee was a dedicated member of the Order of the Eastern Star.
On Monday, February 5, 2024, Deaconess Rosa Lee Pritchett Arnold quietly transitioned from her labor to begin her eternal celebration with the Lord. Someone so special can never be forgotten because she left a legacy of love in the footprints of time. Deaconess Rosa Lee Pritchett Arnold will be missed and honored in memory every day.
Those who will cherish her precious memories are her loving husband: Charlie Arnold, Sr. of Greenville, FL; son: Charlie Arnold, Jr. of New Smyrna, FL; daughters: Christine (Frankie) McDaniel of Monticello, FL, Tina Owens of Tallahassee, FL, Laquetta Arnold of Tampa, FL, Ty’Neshia Arnold of Tallahassee, FL, Pamela Arnold and Vickie (Terrance) Lawson all of New Smyrna, FL; brothers: Ernest Pritchett of Greenville, FL, Arthur (Irene) Humphrey of Perry, FL, Johnny Beryl (Patricia) Pritchett of Madison, FL, and Sam Pritchett of Houston, TX; sisters: Beulah Mae Neal of Greenville, FL, Cheryl Humphrey of Ft. Lauderdale, FL, Dorothy Fead and Shanee Pritchett, both of Greenville, FL, Linda Pritchett of TX, Carlissa Huggins of Greenville, FL, Dorothy Pritchett of Pembroke Pines, FL and Juanita Pritchett Coar, of Boynton Beach, FL; 17 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; along with a host of other sorrowing relatives and loving friends.
