Obituary
Jahlani Stevon Geohegan, affectionately known as “Tank” and “J-Swift,” was born in Tallahassee, Florida, and departed this earthly life on September 7, 2026. His name, Jahlani, carries the beautiful meaning “Almighty Son,” a name that became a part of the identity and story of a young man who was deeply loved and will forever hold a special place in the hearts of those who knew him.
Jahlani was the beloved son of Steve Geohegan and Charlotte Geohegan. He was a cherished brother to Timyra Campbell and Madison Geohegan, and a loving father to his son, Quest Ryder White. Above all, Jahlani was a family man. Family was everything to him, and the love he had for those closest to him was evident in the way he showed up for the people he loved.
Jahlani possessed a kind and giving soul. He was helpful by nature and was often willing to lend a hand, offer encouragement, or simply be there for someone in need. He loved people and had a particularly special place in his heart for children. His affection was not always expressed through words alone; Jahlani had a way of making people know that he loved them. He loved to show you that he loved you. Whether through his presence, his actions, his humor, or simply the way he interacted with those around him, his love was something you could feel.
One of the things that brought Jahlani great joy was music. He loved to rap and expressed himself through his music under the name “J-Swift.” Music became one of the ways he shared his thoughts, personality, creativity, and experiences with the world. He especially embraced the gift of gospel rap, using his musical expression as a way to speak about his faith and his relationship with God. His love for music was more than entertainment; it was a part of who he was and a reflection of the many dimensions of his spirit.
Jahlani also loved being outside. He enjoyed the freedom of being outdoors and found a special joy in spending time at the beach. The water held a special place in his heart. In fact, when he wanted to make a trip to the beach, he would often say to his parents, “Let’s go taste the salt.” Those simple words became a memorable expression of Jahlani’s personality and his ability to find joy in life's simple moments. The memories of those moments—filled with laughter, family, sunshine, and the sound of the water—will remain treasured.
Jahlani also had an appreciation for the sweeter things in life. He loved to eat sweets, and those who knew him well will smile when remembering his enjoyment of the foods and treats he loved. These seemingly ordinary details are often the things that become extraordinary memories after someone we love has gone home.
Jahlani’s journey was not without struggles and difficulties. Yet, even through the challenges he encountered throughout his life, he remained a believer in the Lord Jesus Christ. His faith was an important part of his story. His family finds comfort in knowing that, beyond the circumstances of this earthly journey, Jahlani’s life was ultimately held in the hands of God.
To know Jahlani was to know someone who could leave an impression simply by being himself. He was a son, a brother, a father, a grandson, a nephew, a cousin, a friend, and a loved one. He was Tank to some, J-Swift to others, but to his family, he was simply Jahlani—their beloved son, brother, father, and family member.
His passing leaves an indescribable void. His family will miss his voice, his personality, his music, his laughter, his willingness to help, his love for people, and the many little things that made him uniquely Jahlani. They will miss the moments when he expressed his love in his own way and the memories created through ordinary days that now carry extraordinary meaning.
Jahlani leaves to cherish his precious memory his beloved son, Quest Ryder White; his parents, Steve Geohegan and Charlotte Geohegan; his sisters, Timyra Campbell and Madison Geohegan; his grandparents; aunts and uncles; cousins; extended family; and a host of friends and loved ones whose lives were touched by his presence.
Though his earthly journey has come to an end, Jahlani’s story does not end here. It continues through his son, through his family, through the music he created, through the memories he left behind, and through every person who was blessed to know and love him.
His family will forever treasure the moments they shared with him—the conversations, the laughter, the music, the trips outdoors, the days at the beach, and even his familiar invitation to “taste the water.” These memories are now precious reminders of a life that mattered and a love that will never cease.
Jahlani was deeply loved during his life, and he will remain deeply loved in his absence. The measure of a life is not only found in the years we are given, but in the love we give, the lives we touch, and the memories we leave behind. Jahlani gave his family and those who loved him memories that they will carry for the rest of their lives.
As his family mourns, they hold tightly to their faith, trusting in the promises of God and believing that death is not the final word. They find comfort in knowing that the same God who carried Jahlani throughout his earthly journey is able to carry them through the days ahead.
Rest well, Jahlani “Tank” “J-Swift” Geohegan. Your life was a gift. Your love was felt. Your presence mattered.Your memory will forever be a part of your family’s story.
You will be deeply missed, forever remembered, and eternally loved.
