Life Story
“To be absent from the body is to be present with the Lord.”
 ~ 2 Corinthians 5:8

The first chapter in the life of Julian Austin Green began on August 19, 2002, when he entered the world as the beloved son of Sabrina R. Green and Waymond Earl Smith. From the very beginning, he was a radiant light – full of life and deeply loved. In his own way, he allowed his light to shine bright enough to illuminate the hearts of others in his village. Julian was especially blessed to have in his life, Bishop Lamar Simmons, who began their relationship as his pastor, then his mentor, and as the years progressed, they developed a close bond as father and son.

Julian was raised to be a loving, compassionate, and fiercely protective young man – a natural guardian of those he held dear. Affectionately known as “Top Security,” he ensured their safety and well-being with his steadfast devotion. His heart was as big as his presence, and his loyalty was deep-seated.

Julian made a personal confession of his belief in Jesus Christ and established a close relationship with God. He was a member of Love and Faith Community Church where his active involvement stimulated his love for the Lord, supported his purpose, reinforced his faith, and strengthened his compassion for others.

Educated in the Leon County Public School District, Julian was a proud 2021 graduate of Godby High School. He chose to begin his employment career immediately after graduation, but he never lost sight of his potential for other opportunities in life. He earned certification from the Department of Corrections in 2023 and was briefly employed at Jefferson Correctional Institution. His most recent positions as a distributor for Tri-Eagle Sales and staff associate of J.P. Moore Mortuary and Cremation Services were a testament to his strong work ethic and dedication to helping others.

Beyond his career, God equipped Julian with the strength, determination, skill, resources, and energy to do everything He purposed him to do. A young man of diverse interests and talents, Julian enjoyed wrestling, football, and working out at the gym. He also had the country boy’s appreciation for anything cowboy. On the other hand, Julian had a flair for designing clothing, modeling fashions, being a talented musician and a skillful drummer. He was an honorary member of the Tampa Bay Wrestling Club as well as a member of the Kappa League.

Death is the last chapter in time and the first chapter in eternity. Just as one chapter ended, a new and promising one began for Julian Austin Green when his life tragically and senselessly ended on Thursday, February 6, 2025, in Gadsden County Florida. The circumstances are heartbreaking, but there is hope in knowing that he is now in the presence of the Lord who welcomed him into His Kingdom to receive his heavenly reward.

Preceding Julian Austin Green in death were his grandparents: Willie Miller, Willie Earl Smith, Gloria Merritt, and Sharon Simmons.

It is hard to turn the page when you know someone will not be in the next chapter, but the story must go on. Loved ones who cherish and memorialize Julian Austin Green’s precious memory are his parents: Sabrina Green, Waymond Earl Smith, and Bishop S.
