Obituary
Lillie Mae Thomas, the daughter of Harley Thomas, Sr. and Rosa Mobley Thomas, was born on May 12, 1956, in Madison, Florida. It was evident from the beginning that she had limitations that would prohibit her from doing many things in her life, but she was still their blessing. Assisting her parents with her upbringing were concerned members of her village that God placed in her life. She was a lifelong resident of Madison, Florida.
Lillie Mae’s life was a testament that God can use anyone for His own purpose and to accomplish His own goals. She was favored by showing love and kindness without having to say a word. Even in silence, she made an impact, not just with her family, but with others who spent quality time with her. In her own way, she embraced others with her smile and/or laugh, selfless love, compassion, and patience.
Lillie Mae was easy to please; she was completely satisfied with the simple things that many others take for granted. She looked forward to going on fun outings where they rode around. Surprisingly enough, she remembered places she had previously gone before. Lillie Mae genuinely enjoyed listening to music and dancing, and she eagerly looked forward to their trips to McDonald’s for her favorite menu items – hamburger, French fries, and a soda.
Lillie Mae continued living in the presence of caring members of her village - her other care givers and loved ones whose love for her was genuine and unconditional.
God saw that Lillie Mae Thomas was getting tired, so He, in His infinite wisdom, chose, Thursday, August 21, 2025, to bring her home to live with Him eternally in Paradise.
Those who will continue to love and miss Lillie Mae Thomas are her siblings: Amos Thomas of Madison, FL, and Clemmie Granberry of Orlando, FL; special cousin: Elder Sim (Renea) Alexander of Madison, FL; devoted care givers: Angel 5 Services - Angie (Michael) Mitchell, owners, and Madison Health and Rehab Center - Khadijah Barnes and Felicia Curry; together with many other sorrowing nieces, nephews, cousins and other caring relatives.
Loved ones who preceded Lillie Mae Thomas in death were her parents, Harley and Rosa Lee Mobley Thomas; siblings, Harley Thomas, Jr., Robert Lee Thomas, and Bessie Mae Thomas.
