Obituary

On August 25, 1972, in the close-knit community of Madison, Florida, a precious life began when Pamelia Renee Monlyn was born to George Monlyn and Jannie Bell Woods. Her arrival brought joy to her family and marked the beginning of a life that would be filled with love, laughter, and unforgettable memories. On Friday, October 23, 2026, Pamelia’s earthly journey came to a close at the age of 54, leaving behind a beautiful legacy that will forever be cherished by those who knew and loved her.

Affectionately remembered for her warm personality, joyful spirit, and loving heart, Pamelia was truly one of a kind. She had a special way of bringing happiness into the lives of others, whether through her infectious laughter, her playful sense of humor, or simply the joy of being in her presence. She enjoyed cooking, dancing, and spending quality time with family and friends. Pamelia believed in enjoying life’s simple pleasures, and some of her happiest moments were those spent surrounded by the people she loved most.

Family was the heartbeat of Pamelia’s life. She was a loving mother, a proud grandmother, a devoted sister, and a cherished friend. Her children and grandchildren were among her greatest blessings, and the love she carried for them was immeasurable. She found joy in their happiness, strength in their love, and fulfillment in the special bond they shared. To know Pamelia was to experience a woman who could make you smile, lift your spirits, and leave you with a memory worth holding on to.

Throughout her working years, Pamelia was employed as a box maker in the meat-processing industry. She was no stranger to hard work and understood the importance of perseverance and providing for those she loved. Beyond her employment, however, her greatest contributions were the love she poured into her family, the friendships she nurtured, and the countless moments of happiness she created along life’s journey.

Although life brought its share of joys and challenges, Pamelia continued to embrace the moments that mattered most. Her laughter, her love of music and dancing, and her ability to bring people together will remain among the many beautiful memories her loved ones will treasure. She had a way of reminding those around her that life was meant to be lived, love was meant to be shared, and every moment with family was a blessing.

As the pages of her earthly story came to a close, Pamelia was reunited in eternal rest with those who preceded her in death: her beloved mother, Jannie Bell Woods, and her cherished grandparents, Artis and Jennythel Woods.

While her physical presence will be deeply missed, Pamelia leaves a beautiful legacy of love and treasured memories in the hearts of her family. Those who will forever cherish her memory include her loving daughter, Jakeria Wells (Sheldrick Miller); and her devoted sons, Joshay Fead and Deonshay Wells. Her legacy continues through her beloved grandchildren: Jacari, Nycia, Sheldrick, Ashanti Wells, Mariah Wells, Aaliyah Wells, Deaonte Wells, and Paris Fead, each of whom will carry a special part of her love into the generations to come.

She also leaves to celebrate her life and cherish her memory her loving sisters, Georgetta Monlyn (Paul), Yvetta Franklin (Deano), and Bridgett (Carlos Lee); and her brothers, Ronlyn Monlyn Sr., Jermaine Monlyn, and Davon Monlyn (Precious). Her extended family includes her uncles, James Monlyn, Nathaniel Monlyn, Lee Woods (Odessa), Van (Annie), and Bruce Woods; and her aunt, Bertha (Willie).

Holding a special place among those who will miss her dearly are her beloved cousins, Constine Parrish, Latasha Hamilton, and Shamara Woods; and her treasured friends, Michelle Allen, Annette Arnold, Joanne Bonner, Lynn Jones, and Willie Mae Wells. She also leaves a host of loving aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family members, and friends who were blessed to share in her life’s journey.

Though Pamelia’s earthly journey has ended, the story of her life does not end here. It continues in the hearts of her children, in the smiles of her grandchildren, in the laughter shared among family and friends, and in every precious memory that time can never erase. Those who loved her will remember the sound of her laughter, the warmth of her presence, and the countless ways she made life a little brighter.

As her family and friends gather to celebrate her life, may they find comfort in knowing that a life so deeply loved can never truly be forgotten. Though the days ahead may be different without her, the love she gave will remain a lasting source of strength, comfort, and inspiration.

Pamelia Renee Monlyn lived, she loved, she laughed, and she left behind a legacy that will forever live in the hearts of those she held dear.

Her life was a blessing, her memory a treasure. She is loved beyond words and will be missed beyond measure.
