Obituary
Sarah Louise Williams, affectionately known as “Lil Mama,” was the adorable baby daughter born on January 15, 1964, to Charlie Williams, Sr. and Ammoni Jonas Williams. Her life was blessed to have been shaped by her village of encouragers, supporters, and family. Sarah was a lifelong resident of Madison, Florida.
Loved ones who preceded Sarah in death were her beloved parents; brothers: James Williams and Charlie Williams, Jr. and sister: Evelyn Reeves.
Sarah made a personal confession of her belief in Jesus Christ under the pastoral leadership of the Reverend Dozier J. Balloon, Jr. She was a member of Jeslamb African Methodist Episcopal Church in Madison, Florida.
A caring, compassionate, and giving individual, Sarah often felt compelled to share even when she said she did not have anything extra to give. Sarah was also one who did not mind expressing her point of view/opinion about things of importance.
“Lil Mama” learned early in life to do things in a more excellent way. She was a hard worker who allowed it to reflect her character. She had two to three jobs (selling Avon and cleaning houses part-time) doing what she did best. Her employment included Lowe’s, Dixie Packers, and Gold Kist (Pilgrim’s Pride) before she ended her 23-year career as custodian for the Madison County School District.
Sarah loved to shop and made certain that Michael (when he was in school) and years later her precious grandchildren were rewarded with things they needed for success.
The joy of the Lord was her strength. “Lil Mama” felt well enough to join the fellowship of the Jonas family gathering on July 6, 2024. It is hard to forget someone who gave so much to remember. However, on Friday, August 16, 2024, Sarah Louise Williams gave up her fight for life on earth to rest eternally in the presence of the Lord.
“Lil Mama” blessed the hearts of her family with her life, her laughter, and her love. Cherishing the legacy of love and the special memories of Sarah Louise Williams’ beautiful life are her devoted son: Michael (Denyce) Mobley of Madison, FL; brothers: Jerome (Jacqueline) Williams of Miami, FL, Robert Williams of Bradenton, FL, Freddie Williams of Madison, FL, and James Bryant of Live Oak, FL; sister: Phyllis (Larry) Solomon of Madison, FL; aunt: Maebelle Webb of Lake Butler, FL; grandchildren: Alexis Bornelus, Michael Mobley, Jr., and Myron Mobley; along with countless other sorrowing relatives and loving friends.
