Obituary

Mrs. Willie Mae Scurry Livingston Ingram
1952 - 2022
“I fought a good fight, I have finished my course, I have kept the faith.” -2 Timothy 4:7
Mrs. Willie Mae Scurry Livingston Ingram, the daughter of Willie Scurry and Lizie Bythewood, was born on November 16, 1952, in the Lamont Community of Jefferson County, Florida. She resided in the area with her family most of her life.
Preceding her in passing were her father: Willie Scurry; sons: Emmery Scurry, Sr. and Kelvin Maurice Livingston; and her brother: Robert Scurry.
During her early years, Willie Mae professed a hope in Christ, her Redeemer. She then sought membership in the Salem and Shiloh (Aucilla Circuit) A.M.E. Church family. As she matured in age, she did likewise in the spirit of holiness because “this joy that she had, the world didn’t give it and the world couldn’t take it away”.
Willie Mae was a loving and compassionate person who demonstrated her love and kindness for all – family, friends, and co-workers, as well as those she had never met before. In doing so, she lived “The Golden Rule”, for she did unto others as she would have them to do unto her. Likewise, she looked forward to each day because it gave her another opportunity to make a difference in the lives of her loved ones and others, including her co workers on the job at the Taylor County Sheriff’s office.
Willie Mae also looked forward to her leisure time so she could relax, refresh, and renew. Her relaxation included her enjoyment of sharing the delightful rewards from her successful fishing trips, the refreshing experiences from her travels, and her renewal by memories created from the times she spent with those she loved.
On Tuesday, November 1, 2022, God chose Willie Mae Scurry Livingston Ingram, just as He chooses beautiful roses for His celestial garden, to receive her heavenly reward.
It is hard to forget someone who gave them so much to remember. Those who will forever cherish the life, love, and legacy of Willie Mae Scurry Livingston Ingram her son: Charles Livingston, of Tallahassee, FL; mother: Lizie Bythewood of Perry, FL; brother: Hampton (Ann) Scurry of Greenville, FL; daughter-in-love: Tracey Peck of Tallahassee, FL; grandchildren: Ya’Cobia Scurry of Boston, GA, Emmery Scurry, Jr. and Natalia Livingston, both of Greenville, FL, Kevonta Livingston, Antwon Livingston, Kamierya Livingston Charles Livingston, Jr., Zy’Keria Livingston, Katlyn Allen and Hannah Allen, all of Tallahassee, FL; special friends: Shirley Dudley of Stevens Points, WI, Elizabeth Randall of Macon, GA, and coworkers of Taylor County Sheriff’s Office of Perry, FL; as well as many other sorrowing relatives and loving friends.
