Obituary
Alexis Alexander left this world on Sunday, April 13, 2025. Alexis was and will always be the sunshine that shines on all of us. Alexis was a lovely daughter, sister, aunt, cousin, and friend. Her life was like a star that never stopped shining. Alexis loved life, she loved her family and friends like no other, and she loved her boyfriend. All she wanted in her life was to be happy and be the life of the party. Alexis was loved by so many, and she loved all her family and friends. Alexis loved to fish, attend cookouts, travel, play her music, and ride in her car with the music blasting.
The love that she had for others can’t be explained. She enjoyed having a house full to cook for and live her life to the fullest with. The love for her mom was like no other love. Alexis’s mom loved her with her heart and soul. Alexis loved her sister; they had a bond only they could understand. The love she had for her nephew and niece, Stefan and Vyolet, was beautiful. She loved playing with them. All her life, she tried to do her best for herself and others. She would open her door to anyone if needed. She would feed anyone if they were hungry. She was a great cook, and cooking was her passion. Alexis may have had so many health issues but she never let that stand in her way and she never stopped loving her family and friends. At the end of her life she still had hope, hope that she would get better to be able to enjoy life to the fullest again. But she didn’t and now she is with God and she is in no more pain, no sadnes or worrying anymore. She’s happy now with God. May her soul rest in peace and know that she was loved.
Alexis was preceded in death by her grandmother, Elizabeth Collins. She was survived by: her beloved mother, Lillie Alexander; father, Alvin Alexander; sisters, Andrea Burton (Stefan and Vyolet), Markesha Jones (S’Nyiah, Larryontae, Larryon, Zyaire, Z’yonna, Zion), and Iesha Thornton; cousins, Bobby, Prince, Rena, James, Barbara Jean, Cathyann, Mario, Marquita, Candrea, Robert, and a ton of second cousins; aunts and uncles; boyfriend, Darryl; and lots of friends. Let us all live and learn that Alexis loved you all, as we go on with our life never forget Alexis, keep her in your hearts forever. May God bless us all to go in peace.
