Obituary
CARLOS KEITH JONES departed this life on April 20, 2025, at Barnes Jewish Hospital. He was born April 28, 1974 in Houston, Mississippi, the son of Minnie Blue and Jerry Jones.
He married Tanika McCool Jones on August 9, 2014 and they were together for 23 years.
Mr. Carlos K. Jones was a truck driver and laborer with the City of Springfield for two years. In addition, he was a First Student bus driver and Springfield Urban League bus driver.
He was preceded in death by his brother, Ellis Blue; grandparents, Ellis and Jessie Mae Blue; aunts, Hazel Boyle, Sarah Blue, Nita Blue, Odessie Gamble, Jo Ann Blue.
He leaves to cherish his memories: his wife, Tanika McCool Jones and children of Springfield, IL; mother, Minnie Blue Bond of Springfield, IL; father, Jerry Jones of Houston, MS; brothers, William Blue of Springfield, IL and Langon Blue of Springfield, IL; sisters, Yourlanda Hill (Earl Hill) of Springfield, IL, Sabrina Shaeffer of Davenport, IA, and Aundrea Penny Blue of Springfield, IL; honorary brothers, Edmond Stelivan, Gabriel Roberson, Brian Kirkham, Lorenzo Young, Lamar Navdain.
