Obituary
Cathy Wagoner departed this life on June 2 at her home. She was born on February 25 in Springfield, IL, the daughter of Darlene and Charles Richardson.
She started her career at a young age, working at Horace Mann, the Internal Revenue Service, Waste Age Systems/ Springfield Fiberglass Pools and Spas, County Market, and her own personal pool business. She was a member of St. Patrick’s Catholic parish.
Chatti loved to travel, especially to the beach! She loved her dogs, Ellie and GG, more than words can express. She loved spending time with her friends and family (anything for her kids and grandkids). Cathy knew so many people. She helped anyone and everywhere she could. If you knew her, you were blessed with her grace, kindness, laughter, and generosity.
She was the life of the party and always had a smile on her face! To say she will be missed is an understatement.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Darlene Richardson, Corbie Lowry, and Charles Richardson; brother, Chas Richardson; and special loved ones, Roxy Rule and Theresa Jones.
She leaves to cherish her memories: her companion, Ric Baldoni; sons, Stefano Baldoni (Sierra McCusker) of Springfield, IL, and Vincenzo Baldoni (Rosebud Doetsch) of Chicago, IL; daughter, Shy Wagoner (Je Alexander) of Springfield, IL; brother, Jim Richardson (Angel Richardson) of Oakford, IL; sister, Dawn Christensen (Chuck Galman) of Springfield, IL; three grandchildren, Tyvin Garrison, Araya Garrison, and Atalia Garrison. Chatty had so many loved ones and friends, so if you are here today, you are included in this!
In every moment of every need, God is near, He sees, and He cares. Not a single heartbeat or heart cry escapes His notice.
A beautiful light has gone out on earth to shine even brighter in heaven.
