Obituary

Derrick A. M. Reynolds peacefully departed this life on June 18, 2025, in Kenosha, WI. He was born on March 28, 1973, in Clarksdale, MS, to Ruby L. Reynolds and had the honor of calling Leon Taylor “dad.”

Derrick attended elementary and middle school in Clarksdale before the family relocated to Springfield, IL, during his high school years. At Springfield High School, he played basketball and was a talented track star. Following high school, he attended Parkland Community College in Champaign, IL, and Knoxville College in Knoxville, TN.

As an adult, Derrick moved to Wisconsin, found a job that he loved, and made very special friends who became more like extended family. Derrick loved his family, friends, and meeting people; he particularly liked to watch movies and to talk sports with his “main man,” Elijah.

Derrick leaves to cherish his memory: his parents; one son, Kyren; one daughter, Keirra; one grandchild; and other cherished family and friends.
