Obituary

Edgar Lee Bramlett, 83, departed this life on Tuesday July 23, 2024 at his residence. Edgar was born August 19, 1940 to the late Clarence Bramlett Sr. and late Lillian Dye Bramlett in Tallahatchie County in Mississippi.
 
Edgar confessed Christ at an early age at St. John Missionary Baptist Church in Drew, MS under the leadership of Rev. Hederick.
 
Edgar worked many jobs before he retired, Edge-waters Beach Hotel, Cee Auto-Tow Truck Driver and Black Top Avenue Asphalt Dump Truck Driver for many years.
 
Edgar aka POPS, enjoyed telling his stories, cooking, gatherings, blues and traveling. He really enjoyed shooting pool.
 
He was preceded in death by his, wife: Lula Bramlett, parents, father; Clarence Bramlett, Sr., mother; Lillian Harris, stepmother; Macola Bramlett, four brothers, Clarence Bramlett, Jr., Jimmy Bramlett, Larry Bramlett and Tommie Bramlett; three sisters; Florine Monigan, Hardies Lakes and Kathy Bramlett and son-in-law; Eddie Worlds.
 
He leaves to cherish his memories: children; Vanessa Worlds, Patricia(Albert)Heard, Lucas(Shanndra) Randle, Everett(Nikki) Bramlett, Nadine(Byron), Gentries(Lisa), and Cabrinia(Ladell), three brothers; EV(Vera) Bramlett both of Chicago, IL, David (Cindy) McAdory of Kenosha, WI and LA Henderson of Springfield, IL; six sisters; Martha Dail of Mufreesboro, TN, Shirley (Virgil) Jenkins and Shirley McAdory  both  of Chicago, IL, Verria Harris of Collierville, TN, Patricia (Randolph) Jones of Hernando, MS and Ruby Davis of Springfield, IL; brother -in-law, Frank Monigan of Cleveland, OH, sister-in-law Valerie Bramlett of Plantersville, MS; several grandchildren, many great-grandchildren and one; great-great-grandchild and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other family members and friends.
