Eunice Lavada Essex,64, departed this life on May 30, 2023 at her residence. She was born on March 8, 1959 in East St. Louis, the daughter of Pearltina Farmer and James Arnold.

She married Willie Essex. Eunice Essex was an employee at Ameren for 10 years. She was housewife for 20 years.

She was a member of Table of Life Ministries.

She was preceded in death by son; Shane Young, parents; James Arnold and Pearltina Farmer, sister; Glendora Arnold and brother; James Arnold Jr.

She leaves to cherish memories; husband, Willie Essex, sons; Tori Arnold, Jaqarius Essex, Zymarion Essex, Zarvarious Essex, stepdaughter; Ebony Smith, brother; John Arnold of Cahokia, IL, sisters; Dolly (Carl) Sheard of East St. Louis, Cheryl Arnold of East St. Louis, MaryAnn Devine of Belleville, IL, Alisa Arnold of Cahokia, IL, and Fantesha Watts(wife)Latonia Watts of Champaign, IL , 10 grandchildren, I great-grandchild, and several nieces, nephews, and friends.
