Obituary
Evelyn Lumpkin 74, departed this life on Friday August 9, 2024 at Lakeside Health and Rehab Center in Carlinville, IL. She was born August 7, 1950 in Springfield, IL, the daughter of Rev. Willie Davis and Fern Davis.
She was a member of Union Baptist Church. Evelyn was a Rate Clerk for Horace Mann for 45 years. She went to Lanphier High School. Sometimes Evelyn loved dancing, listening to R&B, Soul and Jazz music. She also loved spending time with family, making friends, drinking coffee and Lime pie.
She was preceded in death by husband; Louis Jones, parents; Fern Stewart and Willie Davis.
Evelyn leaves to cherish memories; two daughters; Cheron and Andrea Jones both of Springfield, IL, two brothers; William(Mary) Davis and James Davis, three grandchildren; Jovan Dickerson, Samaiya Jones and Saraya Jones all of Springfield, IL, one niece; Lisa Robinson and nephew-n-law; Jason Robinson, several cousins, other family members and friends.
