Obituary
Felica Kay (Worthy) Moore, age 63, of Springfield, Illinois, peacefully went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, January 27, 2026, surrounded by her loving family. “To be absent from the body is to be present with the Lord,” II Corinthians 5:8. Though her earthly labor has ended, she now rests in eternal peace.
Felica was born on August 30, 1962, to the late Bennie Lee and Juline (Woodard) Worthy. Her life was a living testimony of God’s love, as she walked in kindness, compassion, and faith. “Her children arise and call her blessed,” Proverbs 31:28.
She joined in holy matrimony to Arthur Lamont Moore, Sr., on October 3, 1981, in Springfield, Illinois, and together they shared 44 years of marriage. Their union was blessed with three children, instilling in them godly values and unwavering devotion. “What God has joined together, let no one separate,” Mark 10:9.
Felica was known for her open-heart, radiant smile, graceful beauty, and creative spirit. Felica devoted many years of her life to serving the Lord in various capacities. She served alongside her husband as First Lady of Northside Christian Church and was also a devoted member of Kingdom Authority Ministry International. She worshipped the Lord with all sincerity and served with humility. Felica poured love, guidance, and compassion far beyond the church walls. She dedicated much of her life to nurturing children through her home daycare, answering God’s call to love and guide the next generation. “Train up a child in the way he should go, and when he is old, he will not depart from it,” Proverbs 22:6.
She was preceded in death by her loving parents, Bennie Lee Worthy and Juline Worthy. and her brothers, Bennie Lenoyd Worthy and Jeffery Lynn Worthy.
Felica leaves to cherish her loving memory: devoted husband, Arthur Lamont Moore, Sr.; two beautiful daughters, Artica Latrice Moore and Arlica KaLynn (Anthony) Williams, both of Springfield, Illinois; and one beloved son, Artimeaus LaMont Moore of Los Angeles, California. She also leaves two amazing grandchildren, Lauryn KaLynn Williams and Luke Anthony Williams, who brought her immeasurable joy; cherished brothers of Springfield, IL, Benji Worthy, (twin brother) Federick Ray Worthy, Tyre Worthy, and Julian Dean Worthy; along with a host of beloved bonus children, godchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins, and dear friends. “The Lord bless you and keep you,” Numbers 6:24.
Felica’s impact extended far beyond her immediate family. She lovingly helped raise and nurture many children throughout her life—too numerous to name. “Well done, good and faithful servant,” Matthew 25:21. Each of you holds a special place in her heart, and her love for you will always remain.
