Obituary
Hazel Knox, 77, of Little Rock, Arkansas, departed from this life on December 17, 2024, in the comfort of her home. Hazel was born on April 30, 1947, to the late Earley and Carrie Butler.
Hazel grew up on a farm and resided with eight siblings. Hazel eventually moved to the mid-west and worked as a PCT for Northwestern Rehabilitation Center in Chicago, Illinois, for thirty years. She later worked for St. James Hospital in Olympia Fields for an additional ten years before retiring to Springfield, Illinois.
Hazel often visited Valley Kingdom Ministries in Oak Forest, Illinois, for Sunday service. Bringing others to church for worship brought Hazel so much joy. She was known to speak about the Lord to anyone she encountered. Hazel possessed a kind spirit and she enjoyed cooking for others. Hazel was given the name “Suga” because of how sweet she was to everyone she met. Her radiant smile and loving spirit will be dearly missed.
She is preceded in death by her son and daughter, Jessie and Aasta Knox, and sister Barbara Young.
She leaves to cherish her memories: grandchildren, Niah Davis, Tiffani Hill, and Jaydon Knox; and a host of other family members, nephews, nieces, and friends.
