Obituary
James Lee Gordon, “ Cadillac” was born February 9, 1960, in Springfield, Illinois, to the union of Alpha Gordon, Sr., and Juanita Gordon. He departed this life at home, peacefully, on Wednesday, January 1, 2025.
He was preceded in death by his father, Alpha Gordon, Sr.; maternal grandparents, Sam Henry Berry and Mary Heston Berry; paternal grandparents, Ella Gordon and Herbert Gordon; and aunts and uncles.
James was a devoted father, son, brother, uncle, cousin, and friend. If you knew Cadillac, then you know that he had a hard love for dressing. Whenever you saw him, he was clean from head to toe.
He was a member of the Kings Kid international Ministeries based out of Indianapolis, Indiana. He was a man of immense humor who focused on putting God first and honoring his parents. He loved to travel to different places, experiencing life and spending time with family and friends.
James leaves to cherish his memories, mother: Juanita Gordon of Springfield, Illinois; companion Zarinah Thomson of Rock Island, Illinois; sons, Chase L. Barnes of Indianapolis, Indiana, Terrence Davis of Springfield, Illinois; daughter, Toya Marie Gordon of Indianapolis, Indiana; brother Alpha Jr. Gordon, (Bonita) of Springfield, Illinois; sisters, Ella Joe Gordon of Springfield, Illinois, Linette Gordon Johnson (Edward) of Maryland; uncles, Willie and Joe Berry, both of Springfield, Illinois; aunts, Maime Berry and Derline Gordon, both of Springfield, Illinois, Dollie Mae Griffin of Houston, Mississippi, Cornelia Woodward of Jackson, Mississippi; grandchildren, cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends. He was well loved and will be truly missed.
Fly high, Jimmy.
