Obituary

Jimmie Lee Mehundrew, 76, departed this life on January 24, 2024 at Aperion Capitol Care Nursing Home. Jimmie was born July 14, 1947 in Aberdeen, Mississippi, the son of Allen and Hattie Sue Mehundrew.

Mr. Mehundrew married his dear wife Velma on July 31, 1982. Jimmy worked as a Truck Driver at Waste Management. He retired after 20 plus years of service.
Jimmy dedicated his life to the Lord at an early age at the Mount Olive Missionary Baptist Church. He later rededicated his life back to God while he was a member of the Triumph Community Outreach Ministries in Springfield, Illinois.

Jimmie Mehundrew was preceded in death by; his father and mother; Allen and Hattie Sue Mehundrew, children; Nadine Moore, Earl Moore and Mildred McCray, brother; Robert Blaylock Sr. grandmother; Annie Garth, nephew; Robert Blaylock Jr. and niece; Stephanie Pass, grandchildren; Micheal and Monteal Pulliam and Earl Moore III.

He leaves to cherish his memories; son; Walley(Debbie)Frazier of Arizonia, daughter; Sharo Moore of Springfield, IL, brother; Wille(Mary)Mehundrew of Springfield, IL, two sisters; Dorothy(Robert) of Nettleton, MS, and Lorene(Johnny) of Tupelo, MS, 26 grandchildren, 43 great-grandchildren and 4 great-great grandchildren, special loved ones; a host of nieces and nephews, cousins, other family members and friends.
