Obituary

Jimmie D. Wade, Sr., 81, departed this life on August 28, 2023, at Aperion Care Capital. He was born December 7, 1941, in Mound Bayou, Mississippi, the son of Daisy Spann and James Wade. 

He was of the Baptist faith and truly believed in God. He married Nancy Broomfield in St. Louis, Missouri. Mr. Jimmie D. Wade was a mechanic at the Illinois State Garage for 25 years before becoming self-employed with his own business for a number of years.

He was preceded in death by a daughter, Jearlean Wade; mother, Daisy Spann, and father, James Wade; and eight sisters.

He leaves to cherish his memories: his wife, Nancy Wade; sons, Jimmie Jr. (wife Alexandra) of Coral Springs, Florida, and Henry (wife Beverly) of Springfield, Illinois; daughters, Carolyn of Margate, Florida, and Stephanie (fiancé Jeff Stapleton) of Springfield, Illinois; sister, Rosetta Bickham of Springfield, Illinois; 29 grandchildren and 25 great-grandchildren; and several nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
