Obituary
Joe Ann Woodward departed this life on October 21, 2023, at Carle Hospital in Urbana, Illinois, at the age of 50. She was born on September 10, 1973, in Mound Bayou, Mississippi, the daughter of Mary Lee Ross and Clarence Ross, Jr.
Joe Ann was a hair stylist at Hair Cuttery for 25 years.
She was a member of Love & Deliverance Church.
She was preceded in death by her daughter, Brianne Jackson; mother, Mary Lee Ross; father, Clarence Ross, Jr.; sisters, Ora D. Ross and Mary Ann Sanders; and brother, Clarence Antonio Ross.
She leaves to cherish memories: her daughters, Chyanna (Devin) Bunch of Decatur, IL, and Evannah Jackson, LeAndrea Jackson, Lanaya Jackson, and Jariah Jackson, all of Rantoul, IL; three grandchildren; brothers, Clarence (DeShandra) Ross II of Leland, MS, and Errol Sanders and James Carter, both of Springfield, IL; sisters, Jacqueline (Jerry) Holmes of Mound Bayou, MS, Carta Olaniyi of Rantoul, IL, Tenisha Ross of Decatur, IL, and Keisha Carter, Carlean Ross, Patricia Ross, Kimberly Ross, and Vanita Carter, all of Springfield, IL; and several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and friends.
