In loving memory of Keyon Day, a bright and vibrant soul who touched the lives of many. He was born October 31, 2007, the son of Keyanna Wilson and Lyndell Day in Springfield, IL. Keyon brought joy and laughter to all who knew him. Tragically taken from us at the age of 16, on Wednesday April 24, 2024, his loss is deeply felt by his family, friends, and the community.

Keyon was a Sophomore at Springfield Southeast High School, where he played both Football and ran Track.

Keyon was a talented athlete, known for his passion for track and football. His dedication and enthusiasm on the field inspired those around him. But beyond his athletic prowess, Keyon’s infectious smile and charismatic personality left a lasting impression on everyone he encountered. He had a gift for making friends effortlessly and his presence lit up any room he entered.

His kindness and compassion knew no bounds. Keyon had a heart of gold and always went out of his way to help others. Whether it was offering a listening ear or sharing a joke to lighten someone’s day, he brought warmth and comfort to those around him.

Though his time with us was far too short, Keyon leaves behind a legacy of love, laughter, and cherished memories. He will be deeply missed by his family, friends, teammates, and all who were fortunate enough to know him.

He is preceded in death by; grandparents; Robert James Day and Barbara Joyce (Ford) Day, Willie and Clara Davis, uncle; Walter Lott, Jr. aunt; Elyse Davis, cousins; Reginald Day and Shawntel Howze Jr.
