Obituary

Sister Lakeisha Charmaine Nolden was born on March 2, 1989, in Shelby, Mississippi. She grew up in the church and came from a family who put Faith and God above all. She was a member of King of Kings Christian Assembly Church. Lakeisha attended Southeast High School in Springfield, Illinois.

To know “Kesh” was to love her. Her beautiful spirit and that radiant smile stretched as long and as wide as the Mississippi River. She was kind, lovable, fun, and outspoken! She previously worked for Bunn-O-Matic, Walmart, and St. John’s hospital. Her most favorite job of all was taking care of her three beautiful children. She lived for her children who were her absolute pride and joy.

Kesh departed from life on Sunday, July 2, 2023, at Aperion Capitol Care in Springfield, Illinois. She was the youngest of three children. She was preceded in death by her father, Sylvester Brown. She leaves to cherish her memories: her faithful mother, Henrietta Nolden of Springfield, IL; sisters, Trinisia Rena (Austin) Brooks of Evansville, IN, and Ashley Nolden of Springfield, IL; father of her boys, Ronald Murphy of Chicago, IL; best friends, Nicole Baughman of Springfield, IL, and Kameisha Bedford of Winstonville, MS; three wonderful children, Jacobi Murphy (oldest son), Jabrai Murphy (youngest son), and Miracle Radcliff (daughter); along with a host of dedicated aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends who deeply cared for her well-being.
