Larry James McDowell, Jr., 46, departed this life on January 4, 2024 at Springfield Memorial Hospital. He was born April 21, 1977, the son of Helen McDowell and Larry James McDowell Sr. in Monroe Louisiana.
Larry was a Chef at Smokey Bones for 9 years. He loved all his friends and family very much, if he could help in any way he would do so.
He was preceded in death by: Father; Larry McDowell Sr., brother; Kevin McDowell, grandparents; Alice and Henry Stapelton.
He leaves to cherish memories; son; Amareon Pitts and Damareon Black both of Springfield, IL, Zayden McDowell of Edinburg, IL, daughter; Shavosia McDowell of Springfield, IL, mother; Helen McDowell, stepdad; Robert Jones both of Springfield, IL, brother; Chris McDowell of Springfield, IL, sister; Lavosha McDowell of Springfield, IL, 2 grandchildren, several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and friends.
