Laverne Bernice Warfield-Beler departed this life on April 21, 2025. She was born on January 13, 1960, in Springfield, Illinois, the beloved daughter of Dorothy Mae Warfield and Lavern Warfield.
Laverne dedicated herself to helping others throughout her life. She worked for over a decade with the State of Illinois and was also a licensed cosmetologist, bringing care, beauty, and grace to every life she touched. On September 15, 1998, she married the love of her life, McKindle Beler, with whom she built a beautiful and strong family.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Dorothy Mae Warfield and Lavern Warfield; and sister, Ronia Williams.
Laverne leaves behind a legacy of love, faith, and family. She is survived by her husband, McKindle Beler; children, Marcia Warfield, Neisy Beler, McKindle R. Beler (Maurine), and Marques A. Warfield; four grandchildren, Baylee Paige Beler, Micha Mackey, Kendre Beler, and True Warfield; two great-grandchildren, Amya Lynn Brooks and Amilya Patrice Brooks; four bonus daughters, Quantreena D. Beler-Brownlee, McKeisha Washington, Shikira Womack, and Tarya Green; six bonus grandchildren and twelve bonus great-grandchildren; siblings, Reverend W. J. Williams, Pamela Sanders, Debra Whyte, Jeannie Warfield, and Shirley Warfield-Jones (Michael); in addition to several nieces and nephews.
Laverne will be deeply missed by all whose lives she touched. Her spirit, laughter, and unwavering love live on in every life she blessed. Today, we celebrate her journey, her life, her faith in Jesus, and the powerful legacy she leaves behind.
“To be absent from the body is to be present with the Lord.”
