Obituary

Lewis D. Sanders, 68, departed this life on August 22, 2024 at his residence. He was born April 27, 1956 in Toledo, Ohio, the son of Geneva Pierson and Dossie Sanders Sr. 
 
He married Pamela Sanders on July 1, 1987. Mr. Sanders was a Truck Driver for 48 years for Perry Broughton Trucking Excavating, INC. He also worked for BCC Cleaning Company for 10 years. 
 
He was preceded in death by; Father; Dossie Sanders Sr., brothers; Roy Sanders, Dossie Sanders Jr., grandmother; Willa Mae Webb, nephew; Dossie Sanders III. 
 
He leaves to cherish memories: wife; Pamela S. Sanders, sons;Jodi Thomas of Cartersville, GA and Quentin Jones of Springfield, IL, daughters; Tuanna Whyte of Springfield, IL and Alexis Jones of Houston, TX, mother; Geneva Pierson of Springfield, IL, sisters; Carolyn Sanders of Springfield, IL and Linda(Lee)Adams of Springfield, IL, 6 grandchildren, 8 great-grandchildren, and several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, several great nieces, great-great nieces, great nephews, great-great nephews, cousins, other family members and friends.
