Obituary
Margo D. Johnson departed this life on May 14, 2025, in Springfield, Illinois. She was born on April 28, 1959, in South Bend, Indiana, the daughter of Willie Mae Brown and Johny Donaldson.
She married Vernon C. Johnson, Sr., on September 18, 1983.
Mrs. Johnson owned a taxi service, All American Taxi Service, in Springfield, Illinois, for over 15 years.
She worked at Signature Group from 1985 to 1997 until it shut down.
She was preceded in death by her mom, Willie Mae Brown; dad, Johny Donaldson; sister, Gwendolyn Shaw; and brother, Jeffrey Brown.
She leaves to cherish her memories: her husband, Vernon C. Johnson, Sr.; children, Vernon C. Johnson, Jr., Pascne, Verrontae, Vershawn, Verriona, Vernell, Vernahn, Verman, Vernicoue, Mason, and Velayah; brothers, Gregory Knox of Seattle, WA, and Jeffrey Brown of South Bend, IN; sisters, Kay Brown of Milwaukee, WI, Barabar Thompson of Milwaukee, WI, and Gwendolyn Shaw; eleven grandchildren and five great-grandchildren; and several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and friends.
