Obituary
Nicole Denise Allison, 50, departed this life on Friday July 5, 2024, in Springfield, IL. Nicole Denise Allison was born on January 27, 1974 to Elizabeth Allison and Micheal Jones in Chicago, IL. She was the oldest of six siblings.
Raised in Chicago, she attended Chicago’s public schools, Daniel J. Corkery Elementary and Steinmetz High School. Nicole’s love of God and caring spirit, led her to choose jobs that involved helping others. She would take the train to Chicago to care for her grandmother, who loved her dearly.
Nicole also enjoyed cooking, barbecuing, and creating different dishes. One of her favorites was Bacon-Wrapped Scallops. “They were the best.” Nicole’s love for her children was evident to everyone that knew her. She spoke about them constantly and always with a smile on her face. Although she encountered many obstacles. “Nicky,” as she was lovingly called by her family, brought joy and laughter to us all.
She was preceded in death by: one brother, William Earl; grandmother, Verniece Allison; grandfather, Rodger Allison; and aunt, Beverly Coleman.
Nicole leaves to cherish her memories: mother, Elizabeth Allison; father, Micheal Jones; six children, Delvin, Briann, Darius, Asiayana, Anthony, and Davion; four grandchildren, Aylin, Nilay, Nine, and Laylani; four siblings, Marcus (Michelle), Michelle, Anthony, and Stacey; grandmother, Mary Jones; six aunts, Rita, Connie, Linda, Julie, Cheryl, and Karen; two uncles, Emory and Anthony; and a host of lovely cousins, other relatives, friends, and a dear friend, Toni (Rail).
“Gone from our sight, but never from our hearts.”
