Obituary
Quentin C. Lockhart, 109, departed this life on May 4, 2025, at his residence. He was born April 17, 1916, in Canton, Illinois, the son of Daisy Chapman and Calvin Lockhart.
He served in the Army during World War II from 1942 – 1945. During his service abroad, he served in Normandy, Northern France, Ardennes, Rhineland, and Central Europe. He received declarations and situations, which consisted of three overseas service bars, American Campaign Medal, European African-Middle Eastern Theater Ribbon, W/4 Bronze Battle Stars, Good Conduct Medal, and World War II Victory Medal.
He married Irene Stowe on July 2, 1952.
Mr. Lockhart was an employee of Sears and Roebuck for several years before retiring.
He was a member of Union Baptist Church.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Irene Lockhart; parents, Daisy and Calvin Lockhart; sisters, Janet Lockhart, Anna Mosley, Lillian Brown, and Yetta Grisby; and brothers, Roy Williams, Wilbur Williams, and Charles Lockhart.
Mr. Lockhart leaves to cherish his memories: his nephews, Rawlin Brown of Jacksonville, FL, and James (Kemy) Brown of Chatham, IL, and a host of nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews, great-great-nieces and great-great-nephews, and friends.
