Obituary

Ronald Lee Jackson, Sr., departed this life on March 3, 2025, at St. Johns Hospital. He was born on April 19, 1945, in Springfield, Illinois, the son of Mattie Lou Jackson and John Wesley Jackson.
 
He married Carol Green on June 19, 1993.
 
Ronald was a janitor at maintenance supply for several years. He also worked at Montgomery Walls at White Oaks Mall for a few years.
 
He attended the Church of God in Christ.
 
He was preceded in death by his father, Reverend John Wesley; mother, Mattie Lou Jackson; sisters, Betty Jackson, Emily Williams, Clara Moore, Gerdine Phillips, and Kathleen Jackson; and brothers, Andrew Jackson and Donald Jackson, Ron’s twin.
 
He leaves to cherish his memories: his wife, Carol Jackson; sons, Ronald L. Jackson, Jr., of Houston, TX, and Keenan Lee of Decatur, IL; stepsons, Robert Harris of Springfield, IL, Howard Harris (Michele) of Phoenix, AZ, and Tyland Harris of Springfield, IL; daughters, Crystal Huggar (Derrick) of Decatur, IL, Kimberly Sanders (Cardell) of Peoria, IL, Patricia Jackson of Austin, TX, Michelle Johnson of Austin, TX, and Robin Taylor (Terry) of Decatur, IL; brother, Terry Jackson (Cheryl) of Jacksonville, IL; sisters, Linda Stockard (Joe) of Springfield, IL, and Etta Coleman (Larry) of Springfield, IL; 29 grandchildren and 46 great-grandchildren; and several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and friends.
