Obituary

Mrs. Velma Mae Mehundrew age 85 departed this life on July 10 2023 at St. John s hospital. She was born July 28 1937 in Little Rock Ark. She was the daughter of Charles and Zola Harvell. She was given the nickname Mae by her sister Millie. Her daughter Sharo called her a beautiful queen. She married Jimmie Mehundrew on July 31 1980.She was loved and cherished by all her grandchildren great grandchildren and great great grandchildren. She accepted Christ at an early age and was baptized at Pleasant Grove Missionary Baptist Church. She was a member of New Life Worship Center where She served on the Mother s and Missionary Ministry. She was a homemaker cook and famously worked with the lunch program in Brandon Drive. She loved her church and bingo. Velma was preceded in death by her children Nadine Earl and Mildred McCrary and three grandchildren Michael and Monteal Pulliam and Earl Moore III parents Charles and Zola Harvell siblings Linda Harry Charles and Hertis Harvell. She leaves to cherish her loving husband Jimmie Mehundrew son Wallace Frazier Debbie of Arizona daughter Sharo Moore Springfield IL. She also leaves twenty six grandchildren forty three great grandchildren four great great grandchildren.She leaves to cherish one brother Robert Harvell Springfield IL and four sisters Ida Jackson Shirley Thomas Harvell Springfield IL. Millie Powell Harvell Milwaukee WS and Lola Harvell Little Rock Ark. Brothers and sisters n laws Robert and Dorothy Brandon Johnny and Lorene Walton Willy and Mary Mehundrew and a host of nieces nephews and friend.
